NHHC and New Hampshire’s Equestrian Trails

The New Hampshire Horse Council (NHHC) is the lead organization for information on NH’s equestrian trails. Its Trails Committee plays an active role in advocating for equestrian access to public lands across the state through monitoring management plans, submitting public comments, educating stakeholders, and communicating with equestrian trail users. An NHHC representative sits on the Statewide Trails Advisory Committee, advocating for equestrian interests and promoting shared trails.

The NHHC is committed to building positive relationships with public and private land management and conservation organizations and landowners. We support equestrian involvement in trail maintenance and funding; through our Support Where the Hooves Go Program, we issue grants annually to one or more agencies or organizations for the purpose of improving equestrian trail access.
